This piece is likely from the first half of the 20th century. It looks like it was made with silk thread, as it has that shiny quality that silk has. If you look closely, you can see an outline in some parts that was used to make the design. The piece of silk that it’s embroidered on has a lot of age spots. The mat board has yellowed with age and has a few stains near the bottom corners. It has a wood frame that’s cut to make it look like bamboo. It has a few small chips around the corners and wear appropriate for it’s age. The cardboard piece on the back is quite ugly, but thankfully you won’t see that when the piece is on display. It does have glass, which could make it dangerous for shipping. I can’t guarantee that it will survive being shipped, but I can put tape across it and add an extra piece of cardboard in front of it.
