100% genuine/original 1960s Belgian wall-hanging tapestry, of hand-painted American mustang wild horses galloping away from a cowboy on horse-back with a lasso. Fabric is grosgrain thick silk/linen mix. The tapestry has a feeling of movement with the band of mustang wild horses in many differing lively positions. The horses are in dark brown, light brown/caramel, grey, white and silver on a light green background, with tuffs of brown grass and touches of white for the clouds. The horses and clouds are contoured with metallic gold stitching. The cowboy's horse is saddled and the cowboy is wearing a white blouse with tie, brown trousers and hat & black boots. Really charming detailing and imagery. The surround and hanging loops are in braiding of double lines of wavy gold on cream/ecru. The 2 bottom corners have weights. The tapestry is 2 pieces of fabric. There is some water stains on the back fabric piece - see photo. Probably can be cleaned away, currently left in original condition. The front is in very good clean condition.

As well as using as a wall-hanging, you could remove the top loops and use this decoratively as a sofa covering/throw, ottoman cover, bed covering etc.
