E-MU EOS 4.7 OPERATING SYSTEM UPGRADE

Upgrade requires EOS 4.0 through 4.10 users to first load Flashprep (Flashprep- available in my other auction:)
to enable your sampler to read compressed files (EOS4.6 Item number: 220836618510).
EOS 4.5 users need only to install the new version of EOS 4.6 (flashprep not required).
It is also recommended for users to upgrade Ultra samplers currently running the factory preset beta version.of EOS4.7.

The major feature in this upgrade is the EOS FAT file system. EOS FAT is
based on the FAT32 disk file system as used by Microsoft™ corporation and
others.
WAV. files can be transfered direct from FAT format pc hard drives via removable media.(zip,jaz,emu hd)

The FAT32 file system allows more efficient use of large hard disks than the
EOS disk file system, which was designed before the availability of gigabytesized
hard disks in common use today. EOS FAT allows much more data to
be stored on large hard drives. In addition, EOS FAT makes it much easier to
export as .wav or .aiff and transfer the files to your computer. In addition,
you can troubleshoot corrupted FAT32 disks using standard PC diagnostic
tools such as the Norton utilities.
EOS recognizes both types of disk formatting, so you can continue to use
your current disks.
