Selling one of my BF/MD 509 dynamic mics - THE killer mic on all guitar cabinets.

This microphone is in perfect working order, and excellent condition cosmetically (minor paint scuffs on the Matt black grille) and as every pro engineer knows, sounds amazing on guitar cabinets of every description.

Exactly the same as the fabled MD 409 with minor cosmetic/name changes by Sennheiser to avoid distribution red tape. A workhorse and industry standard in most pro studios. Certainly a reluctant sale and only selling this one as my pair on overheads are rarely used together as vintage KM84s and AEA R88 get that job 99% of the time.

Classic thick, smooth yet detailed guitar sound wether on cranked up, gain laden cabinets or clean and open cabs, adds a familiar and rich tone.

Equally great on toms, kick, snare, even overheads - all of which I've called on this great mic for over the years I've been running my pro studio (www.eastbeachstudios.com). Focussed midrange on bass cabinets with a tight low end and I've also had great results smoothing and thickening brass instruments with this microphone.

If you record guitars tho and need a classy alternative (or addition) to the bright bite of a 57, then you need this.

Please don't be put off by my lack of feedback or new account, only signed up to sell this item. Check my studio at www.eastbeachstudios.com
