Letter E on foot

(Serial # 1354033 on Sideplate) 

 Mitchell 300 Spinning Fishing Reel. this is a 1955, based on  serial number 1354033 stamped on the side of housing and the letter “E” stamped on the foot. Additionally Early Models were Engraved Mitchell 300 Only (opposed to Garcia Mitchell 300). Also The location of the stamp "Made in France" is located on the front of the reels housing (opposed to the rear). 

 Some normal wear. The reel is in excellent physical and mechanical condition. The reel has its fair share of some paint wear along the edges. No cracks or dents. This is very smooth running and all functions are working as they should. Bail has some corrosion and pitting but works great with a nice crisp snap back. The Super-Sized and Zoom-Able pictures are of the reel which show it quite well.

5^th Version –1953 stamped on the side of reels housing. In 1959 Serial Numbers were moved forever back to the reel’s foot, stamped on the bottom of the foot.
