The Polaroid Automatic 450 Land Camera was a later entry in the Polaroid 100-400 series of cameras for peel-apart pack film. The Land List states its production years as 1971–1974. It has the desirable, folding, single-window rangefinder/viewfinder manufactured by Zeiss Ikon. Basically the 250/350/450 are SOLELY considered high end because of their Zeiss rangefinder. The 100 and 240 are the same, but "cheaper" to find because of the 2 window rangefinder. The 450 was top of the line at the time. Retail price: $164.95. The "purchasing power" of $164.95 from 1975 is $735.86 in 2016.

The 450 is a beautifully made, vintage Polaroid camera, fully loaded with an all glass lens, auto-exposure system, and a big, bright Zeiss Ikon finder for focusing and composing. Unlike the plastic model, the 450 has a solid metal build, folds down into its own case, and has a cool-looking leather strap. The 450 is of the last generation of the 'classic' folding pack cameras, and was designed for flash photography using the #490 Focused Flash with Hi-Power flashcubes.

Condition: This camera is already 45 years old. I can't test it.  So, I am selling it for parts or repair "AS IS" NO RETURNS NO REFUNDS, and pricing it accordingly. The only blemish I see is one battery connector is missing and the front cover is from a model "440". The same cover, just wrong number.

So far, I have sold quite a bit of items from that lot and have had no complaints yet!!

It was part of an inventory removed from a home of a CAMERA COLLECTOR after he died and the the owners sold the home. These cameras were among a number of CAMERAS AND PHOTOGRAPHIC SUPPLIES. They all looked like in decent shape. It is over 20 years old. So, I am selling it "AS IS" NO RETURNS NO REFUNDS, and pricing it accordingly.
