Up for bids is one of my prized guitars - a very unique Suhr Modern. I ordered this in the early part of 2013 and it was delivered in the summer of that year. I had one of the very first Moderns when Suhr released them in 2008. One of the things that I always wanted was a Modern with a pickguard because I always loved that look. So, being very lucky living in Pittsburgh, I had access to one of the most talented luthiers I have ever worked with and he cut and built this tasty pickguard to go on my Modern. So, the "Modern Classic" was born. Many people on guitar forums have praised the work and when I took this thing on the road it would get high praise from many players.

The basics of this guitar are the following: Basswood body, quilted maple top, roasted maple neck and fingerboard - two separate pieces, Jumbo stainless steel frets, Luminlay factory-installed glowing side marker dots, modern ellipitical carve .780-.830 with a 16" radius (for those who prefer a flatter feel), Doug Aldrich neck and bridge humbuckers, Suhr flat stack middle pickup, 5-way pickup-selector switch, blower switch, coil-tap on the tone pot/knob, Sperzel tuners, Sperzel D-Thing drop-D tuner (factory installed), Tremol-No (factory installed), recessed Gotoh 510 tremolo. The condition of the body is VERY good. No major dings or dents. The guitar has always had low action and the tone is, well, Suhr tone.

If you're searching for something unique, this is the guitar for you! Suhr still doesn't make the Modern with a pickguard yet and, as I mentioned, everything about this instrument has been done by a total professional. In fact, even some of the Suhr employees who saw this at the NAMM show a few years back when I was playing looked at it in person and complimented its craftsmanship. It comes with the original factory hardshell case. I will ship this for FREE and insured to anywhere in the continental USA. No international shipping. For sale locally in the Pittsburgh area if interested as well. Paypal accepted. Make sure you email me with all of your questions. No trades.
