Does your Corvette roll forward when its in gear and the engines off!!!??? but not backwards, Have you lost reverse, but can still drive forward!!? OR have you lost the ability to engine brake on your Vette???? just rolls in 1st gear????!!!!! Or have you lost drive in all gears, clutch is fine, the shifter is adjusted.
No worries because then its your over drive unit.
Rebuilt ones go for as much as $1400.00, BUT you can rebuild it yourself normally for around $50-200 (the 50 side if no reverse and rolls in gear, 200 side if no forward motion at all)....
Only special tools need are; a good caliper and dial indicator, and 3 10mm bolts (the rest can be made from; power steering pully and really big bolt from Lowes, and a piece of 2x4 1' long and a concrete block to hold the tranny for easy assembly)
DON'T take your Vette to a transmission shop most of the time you pay a bunch of money for your Vette to still be broken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
