Hello!

Up for bids is a super rare Vintage Original Los Angeles Kings Sewn Ultrafil Hockey Jersey of the great Kelly "Hollywood" Hrudey. This was the same jersey style and materials LA Kings hockey players wore during the 1990's. Size 44 Men's Adult. Made in USA. Made by CCM-Maska. The team name/crest is superbly and beautifully sewn/embroidered in front of the jersey, while the player number/name is also sewn/embroidered in the back. Number "32" also sewn in each shoulders. Player name sewn directly in the jersey/no name plate. Has shoulder and elbow pads. Has the fight strap. Embroidered CCM and NHL shield logo in the back/hem. The jersey was never worned. It appears to be signed by Eric Lacroix in the back near the name "Hrudey". Eric Lacroix was an LA Kings player in the 1990s. The jersey was displayed in a sports bar for quite a time. Its in very nice condition, except for the dirt smudges and some coffee stains and minor threadpulls as a result of being displayed without any case or covers. I am 100% sure that this can be removed thru a professional drycleaning. I would have brought it to a drycleaner, except I am concerned about the signature.... Vibrant colors. Comes from a smoke and pet free abode. Acquired in this condition from a sports memorabilia collector. Sorry no LOA. This jersey is a prizecatch! Its baseball season right now! This is now a super duper classic LA Kings hockey jersey. They don't make this super quality type of jerseys anymore. Selling it as is.......

note: There is a slight tear in the neck/collar line in front, as seen in the pics. This can be repaired without affecting the vintage original appearance of the jersey.....

"WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET"

Kelly Hrudey (born January 13, 1961) is a former NHL ice hockey goaltender and current hockey broadcaster with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. During his NHL career, Hrudey played for the New York Islanders (19831989), Los Angeles Kings (19891996), and San Jose Sharks (19961998).

Hrudey played junior hockey for three years with the WHL Medicine Hat Tigers. He was drafted in the second round (38th overall) of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. Hrudey first played for the Indianapolis Checkers, New York's minor league affiliate, and moved to the main club in the 1984–85 season.

He was the Islanders' goaltender in 1987 when they defeated the Washington Capitals in the longest game in club history, a four-overtime Game 7 thriller known as the "Easter Epic", which was won on a goal by Pat LaFontaine after 68:47 of overtime. Hrudey made 73 saves (a playoff record) in a 3–2 Islander victory that ended just before 2am on Easter morning.

Later in 1987, he was the third string goaltender on Team Canada during the 1987 Canada Cup, but did not appear in a game.

In 1989, he was traded to the Los Angeles Kings and would play there for eight seasons. His most notable achievement was playing in the 1993 Stanley Cup finals, but the team lost to Patrick Roy's Montreal Canadiens. In 1996, he signed with the San Jose Sharks and played his last two seasons there before retiring in 1998.

Nicknamed 'Hollywood' while playing in LA, Hrudey was also known for wearing a blue bandana underneath his mask throughout his career.
