35MM CINERAMA REEL

REELS IS FULL with what we believe is the first reel of "7 WONDERS OF THE WORLD" for the middle projector --- "B". 

 

 "7 WONDERS"  WAS THE THIRD CINERAMA PRODUCTION AND WAS RELEASED IN 1956.   THE FIRST WAS "THIS IS CINERAMA" IN 1952 FOLLOWED BY "CINERAMA HOLIDAY " IN 1955. 

 

The  labeling on the tail of this film has been removed.  However,  there is an inspection date on this reel for 12-59.  Also, we had the reel for "7 WONDERS"  from the "C" machine.  We are assuming that this is from the same film.  We are sure that this is the first of two reels and that this is the "b" machine reel.   Our rewinders are just a little too short to do a 31" reel  and check the title at the beginning of the reel.  

PLEASE NOTE THAT HIS FILM IS NO LONGER USEABLE.  THIS ITEM IS BEING SOLD AS A HISTORIC ARTIFACT AND IS MEANT TO BE DISPLAYED RATHER THAN USED.

REEL IS 31 INCHES IN DIAMETER AND WEIGHTS 45 POUNDS. 

 CINERAMA WAS THE HIT OF THE EARLY 1950'S.  IT PRODUCED AN ENORMOUS PICTURE AND WONDERFUL SOUND.  THREE PROJECTORS WERE USED AND A FOURTH REEL OF SOUNDTRACKS WERE ALL PLAYED IN SYN.  THE EFFECT --- AT TIMES --- WAS AWSOME.

THE FILM WE ARE OFFEREING WAS USED IN THE MIDDLE  MACHINE AND RAN ABOUT AN HOUR.  IT WAS THE FIRST HALF OF THE SHOW.  THIS REEL ENDS WITH AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE  INTERMISSION.   AT THIS POINT  THE PROJECTIONIST PUT ON THE SECOND REEL  AND THE SHOW ENDED WITH THE CONCLUSION OF REEL 2.

CONDITION:  REEL IS EXCELLENT.  FILM IS NOT USEABLE.
