Half Mil Dot Reticle

Developed by US Marine snipers in the 1970's the mil dot is one of the most popular all round hunting cross hairs types. Half mil dot has simply added half way dashes in order to offer even more reference points.

Mil dot is very popular in all areas of shooting, once you get the hang of it you can easily and quickly estimate ranges to targets and set aim points.

50mm Fully Multi Coated Lens:

  • A great large size lens that gives you superb light capture and transmission resulting in a truly excellent view.
  • Fast target acquisition and moving target tracking.
  • Fully multi coated with emerald to protect and limit glare and reflections

4-12x variable magnification

  • A very flexible and popular all round variable magnification that is especially well suited to air rifle and hunting rifle shooting ranges.
  • Very easy and very fast dial adjustment.
  • Exceptional clarity through premium A grade camera quality lens.

You'll get crystal clear ocular focus at 5 yards with parallax focus from 15 yards.

Zero it with Windage and Elevation Turrets:

140 click range (1/4 MOA)

Parallax Focus Adjustment - AO - Adjustable Objective (front lens casing)

Parallax effect is the term that describes the difference in angles between objects that are seen up close and those seen far away. When you look at telephone poles passing by on the side of the road, those closest to your car seem to pass very fast, while the ones far away seem to go very slow. That difference is due to the parallax effect.

The reticle in your scope is like a telephone pole that's very close. If you move your head on the stock while watching the target through the scope the reticle may seem to move, wobble or blur against the target. That affects where you perceive the aim point to be, and that affects your accuracy. Parallax focus correction adjustment reduces this phenomenon to the greatest extent possible.

Parallax focus correction therefore is a must for anyone attempting to use either a high magnification scope, shooting drastically different yardages with the same scope or anyone attempting to shoot at extremely close ranges or extremely long ranges. Especially so if it is a combination of these factors.

Parallax yard settings from 15 yards to infinity - Adjusted by the objective i.e., it is an AO "Adjustable Objective" scope.

Important note on parallax focus versus regular ocular focus

A common mistake is to use the parallax adjustment in an attempt to focus the reticle. The ocular end (eye piece) has a focus for the reticle. That is the sole purpose of the ocular focus. Returns have been caused by users attempting to use the reticle focus as an image focus and or using the parallax adjustment as a reticle focus. If you get both of them so far out of whack bad things will happen.

Only use the ocular focus to focus the reticle and only focus the reticle while looking through the scope at the sky. This will keep you from trying to focus an object instead of the reticle.

Ocular Focus (eyepiece) adjusts the scope to the individual shooter's eye... this is a one time adjustment. (For wearers of prescription lenses this could be a multiple procedure event if new prescription arrive.) The purpose of this adjustment is to adjust the scope so that the image of the reticle (crosshairs) is properly aligned with the back of the shooters eye.

Parallax focus adjusts the target to the reticle (crosshair). The target image and the reticle must be on the same focal plane within the scope or there is room for apparent movement of the reticle on the target when the shooters eye moves (or is positioned differently at the scope).

There are special UK export rules for sales of telescopic scopes of 10x or more maximum magnification

Type 1 - Fast Track Open Export License - no shipping delay

For customers in the EU (with exception of Croatia), Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, USA, Canada, Australia or New Zealand the export process is quick and easy. We send you a simple form to sign and date. You print it, sign and date and scan/photograph and email and post back and we can ship right away. Other areas we can still ship to but there will be a delay.

Type 2 - Export Permit - 3-4 week shipping delay

If you do not live in one of the countries listed above then - with the exception of EU and UN arms sanctions destinations - we can still ship to you if your country allows the import of rifle scopes. Please check if unsure.

However there will be a 3-4 week shipping delay while we obtain the necessary export permit.

Type 2 Process -

We email you an export paper after you buy. You print it. Sign it. Email to us.

We apply for permit, Permits take 3-4 weeks to be approved. Once approved we ship.We cannot ship before approval so if this is not acceptable please do not buy.

International Shipping

  • Royal Mail Signed For Airmail - This is insured airmail.
  • On arrival in your country it is passed to your national postal service for final delivery to you or your local collection point.
  • We use a fully tracked mail service if it is available and tracking is at least until entry to your country. At this point not all areas integrate with Royal Mail tracking so it may not be possible to location track once it arrives in your area.
  • If it is lost or does not arrive then can be resent or refunded after 1 month.

International Delivery time ESTIMATES:

  • 3-10 days Europe and 7-10 days rest of world - "On average"
  • These are postal service company targets They are NOT delivery guarantees and can vary between countries - For example, we have found that delivery to Scandinavia is very fast, Australia very good in general even though it is a long way - some places in southern Europe...not so fast.
  • They are for main towns and cities. Rural, remote areas and islands will take longer.
  • If you need it fast or prefer a courier (Fedex, TNT etc) please request a price quote.

Please be sure to provide an address where someone is likely to be in to take postal deliveries. Items returned as not possible to deliver or not called for can be resent but postage will be charged again or, if refund made, will not include postage paid.

Please also check that you are allowed to import scopes. Some countries do not allow them. We have blocked those that we know of but we cannot know the rules everywhere! Scopes returned for such a reason will be refunded but minus our cost of shipping. Scopes confiscated by customs and not returned to us cannot be refunded.
