This Pretty German Doll Would Be a Spectacular Addition to Any Antique Doll Collection!
 
We purchased this wonderful 24 inch Armand Marseille Bisque Doll at an Antique Doll Estate Auction in Pennsylvania. This charming old doll is marked, Armand Marseille, Germany, 390n, DRGM 146/1 A.7.M. on the back of her head. This number AM doll was produced in the early 1900's.
The Armand Marseille 390 Dolls are famous for their beautiful faces! Our charming doll’s bisque face is very finely made with gorgeous pale blue glass sleep eyes with light brown feathered eyebrows, finely painted eyelashes and a tiny pale red dot in the corner of each eye.
Our girl has pretty rosy cheeks and lips that are outlined in red. She has a charming open mouth smile with three tiny teeth. She has a cute little dimple in her chin. Her head has no hairlines, chips, cracks or crazing.
Her dark blonde wig appears to be made of human hair. The long old fashioned curls look fabulous on her. It is not completely attached so we will stuff her head for safe shipping.
This lovely Armand Marseille Doll has a beautiful antique outfit. Her long antique white coat is just gorgeous! It is made out of a ribbed/textured white material and is embellished with tiny white buttons and a wonderful wide collar.
Underneath the coat, she is wearing a white skirt with an embroidered hem.
This pretty doll is also wearing a wearing an old full slip, a half slip and bloomers all trimmed in lace. Her skirt and all of her underclothing are hand sewn. Her undergarments close with tiny buttons. The full slip has a button closure on each shoulder. Her previous owner must have had her clothing cleaned as it is all nice and clean and white!
We dressed her in knit socks. She also has white stockings and antique white tie shoes with a flower on the toes.
Her sleep eyes work properly. As noted, she has three teeth - one is missing.
Our beautiful old doll has a fully jointed composition body, arms and legs. She is also flexible at her wrists. Her composition body is in very good condition with some repairs and replacements.
Her ankles have the most wear and may have been repaired. The ball joints in her elbows have been replaced with newer ones. Her Composition body may have been repainted. The wear is consistent with her age.
Here are the markings on the back of the head. The previous owner wrote in pencil in this area.
SIZE This sweet doll is about 24 inches tall.
CONDITION Our darling young lady is in Very Good Antique Condition. Her head is lovely with no cracks or crazing. Her big blue eyes are wonderful! Her antique white outfit is very lovely and looks perfect on her. There are some repairs and replacement parts on her composition body as mentioned above. The wear is consistent with her age. She is a fabulous doll and displays beautifully.
SHIPPING This doll is large enough to require separate packaging, and so we are not offering combined shipping in this case. We are including the cost of postal.insurance, which we will purchase, in our shipping charge.

SALES & SHIPPING INFORMATION
PAYMENT: As required by eBay, we list only PayPal as a means of payment.
SHIPPING: We are usually able to ship within 1 to 3 days of payment verification. We ship through the United States Postal Service, and we try to offer our customers the most appropriate postage options for each item. We obtain a tracking number for each mailing.
SHIPPING CHARGES: Our basic shipping charge is set to cover postage and shipping materials, plus a small handling charge. We purchase postal.insurance for more expensive items, and eBay requires Signature Confirmation delivery for items costing $250 or more. We add these costs to the total shipping charge for auction items that we think might attract larger bids. If a shipping charge estimate is too high, we refund the appropriate amount to the customer after we have shipped the item and verified the actual cost.
COMBINED SHIPPING: We sometimes specify combined shipping discounts with our listings, but we will offer such discounts in many other cases even when not pre-quoted. Assuming that multiple items can be appropriately shipped in one box, we begin with the charge for the heaviest item and add between $1 and $5 for extra items, depending on weight and additional packing material needed. The added charge could be more for unusually heavy or large items. International customers: With so many different postal rates, we cannot quote discounts ahead of time, but we do apply the appropriate discount at the time of the invoice.
INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS: Bidding from international customers is welcome! We accept PayPal payments only from other countries; we do not accept checks or currency. As noted above, we will combine shipping for international customers whenever possible and include the savings in our shipping charge on the invoice. Because there are so many different international rates, we cannot quote the combined shipping rates ahead of time. We ship using Priority International Mail through the US Postal Service if a package weighs four pounds or more. When it weighs less, we also offer First Class International as an option. Please be aware that Priority International packages can be tracked while still in the United States, and they can be insured. First Class International cannot be insured, and so the customer assumes a risk for this less expensive choice. Also, please be aware that we do not mark items as "gifts" or report lower sales values on customs forms.
Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying.
We are happy to have sold a wide variety of items to our international friends and to have received excellent customer satisfaction feedback from them.
RETURN POLICY: Returns are accepted for refund within a 14-day period of the receipt of the merchandise. We will refund shipping charges and return postage when defects or item characteristics were not noted in the original sales listing. In other cases, the refund covers just the purchase price. A returned item must be received in the same condition as when the item was sent.
Most of our transactions are trouble-free, but we suggest you contact us if a problem does arise so we can mutually try to arrive at a satisfactory solution.
