This is the first, most desirable edition before the biwiring.

Truly one of the best speakers ever put out by this company.  Have been my main speakers for some time, but I am moving into a smaller city apartment setting and have to downsize.

I have replaced the tweeters with the upgraded morels which I believe are an improvement over the T33.  The annulus has also been replaced on both (this is important, see below).  They have also been fully checked out, woofers checked for sag, disassembled and inspected by both myself and a local loudspeaker repair company recently (less than 1 year ago).  I was also going to have the crossover completely recapped, however never had the opportunity to.  Functioning perfectly.  I am sad to see these go.

Aesthetically, these are not museum condition, but still nice and presentable especially considering their age.  There's a scuff here and there and a snag or two to the grill cloth but no major damage.  Please note I have not attempted to polish / oil or otherwise mask any imperfections like other sellers do on eBay.  I took photos rather to maximize the imperfections to avoid any disappointment from a potential buyer.  Most of the imperfections disappear with a coat of beeswax/orange oil.

The upgraded tweeters alone are being sold on eBay for $300, without the cost of installation, which can be substantial considering how arduous it can be to get in there..

I believe my asking price is pretty modest considering the above.

Local pickup is obviously preferred.  I am almost totally against shipping them, as they are so large and heavy and the possibility of damage in shipment high, but if you are a serious bidding and would really like me to, I will do so- but please contact me beforehand and please understand: The shipping cost is an ESTIMATE, as I cannot truly know the cost of shipment until I get these boxed, which I will not do unless I am certain they will not be picked up locally.  If you are the winning bidder you MUST understand this and be accepting of any additional charges that may arise.  I always ship via FedEx ground as I find they handle parcels with the most care .  I will also pack them to the 9's and ship in two separate boxes.

Do to the nature of vintage electronics and the sheer size and weight of these, they must be sold as is.  Please ask any questions you may have before bidding.

Also, I think it goes without saying that the other stand mount speakers listed are not included in this auction.  See my other items for related listings.  I have a bunch of great audio stuff going up for sale as I'm attempting to lighten my load.

Information on the annulus:

"Virtually every pair of KEF 102/2, 103/3, 104/2, 107 and 107/2 loudspeakers all have the same problem; the proprietary inner surround ring, also know as the annulus, has dry rotted. This can cause several problems; the woofer excursion increases which can allow the voice coil to bottom out and distort the former causing ongoing audible distortion, bass output is significantly reduced, the woofer power handling is much lower, and the frequency response of the woofer will also change because the back enclosure is no longer sealed."
