Dell Inspiron 2650 (Model #PP04L) Laptop Computer Windows XP PARTS OR REPAIR

I just purchased this computer last weekend at an estate sale.  Cosmetically, the computer is clean with some scuffs on the case from normal usage.  I was able to plug this computer in (had a power cord from anther Dell Inspiron) and was not able to get it to boot up.  When the power button is depressed, it sounds like it is going to boot up and then the process just stops.  I have not tested the battery and am making no claims about its condition.  This computer includes Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2).  In summary, this computer is being sold for parts or repair and since I have not been able to get it to boot up, I am making no claims about its functional condition.
