Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 Cassette Radio - Freshly Serviced - Modified for MP3's

If you're restoring a German car from the eighties, you know that nothing makes a vintage dashboard look quite as good as an original Blaupunkt stereo. Unfortunately, yours is probably gone because at some point a previous owner installed that just-gotta-have-it Kenwood system and neglected to save the original radio. After all? Who would ever want that old thing?

Originally manufactured from 1986 through 1988, the Bremen SQR 46 was considered one of the flagships of the Blaupunkt line-up and today is regarded by many as one of the best radios ever built by the company. I've owned this radio for many years. It's a pristine example and I always intended to install it in one of my personal vehicles. In anticipation of that, I sent the radio to a specialist in Europe who performed the following:

1. The radio was fully serviced and tested to insure it was functioning 100% as it should.

2. The radio was modified so that it no longer requires an annoying security code to be input - even after a loss of power. Just turn on the radio and it's ready to go.

3. A standard 3.5mm headphone jack was installed on the rear of the radio and the proper modifications were completed to allow the radio to play MP3's (or other digital music files) from an iPhone, iPod or any cell phone or music player with a headphone jack. To access this feature, you simply press the ARI button on the front of the radio and then control your music through your player. To return to regular radio functions, just press any radio band button (L,M,K,or U). The ARI button was previously used for German traffic updates but this system was discontinued many years ago so by using the ARI button you don't sacrifice any radio functionality in any way.

Don't confuse this radio with lesser examples being sold by less-experienced sellers. This radio was modified by professionals and the fact that it was freshly serviced guarantees you years of trouble-free operation.

I have included multiple high-resolution photos showing the exact condition of this radio.

I’m not a dealer and I don’t do this to make a living. I’m a collector who owns more than a dozen vintage Porsches and the parts I have for sale on eBay are all parts that, at one time or another, were purchased for one of my cars or were actually on one of my cars. I own some of the finest Porsches in the world. I don’t own junk and I don’t sell junk. Thanks for looking.
