"La Duquesa Diabolica" - Original Theatrical Poster (1964), 36 3/4" x 27"

We recently acquired a very large Spanish-language film archive: lobby cards, posters, film cannisters & films. The archive emerged from the late, lamented Edison Theater/Nuevo Edison which operated on Broadway between 103rd and 104th Streets during the 1960s, '70s, and '80s. In 1987, its owner/operator Gilbert Rivera bowed to rising real estate values and to a diminished clientele and sold the theater.

A Very Good- poster original by Marco. Single vertical fold, three horizontal. Lightly toned. Pinholes at the corners. Old tape to the edges. Chip to the lower right. Very slight separation at the fold intersections.

Please note: this is a very fragile poster on untreated paper; the condition description has been provided only after the poster was carefully refolded and bagged, so we will stand by the description and we will ensure that the poster arrives in the condition described; however, even if the poster is very carefully unfolded, its age is such that some additional damage/diminishment is almost certain; please do not purchase unless you understand and accept these terms of sale.

GRADING: Our grades are simply shorthand assessments of an item's condition; please place greater emphasis on the description and pictures provided as these contain objective details which an impressionistic grade lack. All posters offered here have been folded and are subject to varying degrees of toning/darkening. Quite a few have the distributor's catalogue number stamped or penned to the reverse; many have the title penned to same by the theater manager. Our grades are Near Mint (NM); Excellent (Ex); Fine; Very Good (VG); Good (G); Fair; and Poor. There are also subgrades and supragrades indicated by - and + and, as well, hedge grades such as "Good to Very Good". NM and Ex are rarely used. Fine indicates a poster with a few small concerns but which is very presentable. Very Good has a few additional problems but remains very attractive. Good, Fair, and Poor are posters with obvious issues, but even at the lowest rung, the poster is salvageable and presentable, though it should be linen-backed at the earliest opportunity.
