Orgone Aluminium Resin Casting Pyramid Mold / Mould - Bundle of 6
This listing is for a bundle of 6 pyramid moulds ideal for casting polyester resin pyramids / orgone devices.
The moulds are made from 1.2mm thick aluminium. I have listed these as a request. The bundle is made up of:
2 x Tetrahedron Pyramid Moulds (120mm x 120mm x 120mm base)
1 x Tetrahedron Pyramid Mould (150mm x 150mm x 150mm base)
1 x Nubian Pyramid Mould (60mm x 60mm base)
1 x Nubian Pyramid Mould (80mm x 80mm base)
1 x Nubian Pyramid Mould (100mm x 100mm base)
Edges of the mould may be sharp so please take care. I can create these in any size so please let me know if a different size is required. One edge of the pyramid is not joined (see pic 3) and will need to be taped up when pouring the resin (I used parcel tape myself and this seems to work great as long as long as you tape up the tip properly as shown in picture 5.), In my experience I have found that this makes removal of the finished product from the mould much easier. Care must be taken when popping out the pyramid not to bend the sides of the mould too far. You only need to remove the tape and pull the side back gently and it should pop off. Picture 4 shows the inside point of one of the moulds.
A Little bit about me While trying my hand at making some Orgone generating devices, I found it difficult to find a high quality mould that gave a good finish to the end product and did not stick to the resin when set. I started off using cardboard covered in tape for the mould, then plastic, then glass which all worked to varying degree's but didn't give the smooth finish I was looking for and they kept sticking to the finished pyramid. After much messing about I decided to make one myself from aluminium. These moulds give a smooth finish and do not stick as much to the pyramid (a little bit of force is required to pop them out but as long as care is taken the mould is perfectly re-usable many times over). I was so happy with the final product I thought I would create a few more in case anyone else was having the same problems as me. Pictures 5, 6, 7, & 8 are some of the finished pyramids I have made and are not included in the sale.
I can make these in any shape or size so please ask if you require a custom made mould or would like a specific bundle making up.
Some of the pyramids may still have the blue protective layer on the inside to protect during shipping and this should be removed from the mould prior to using. It just peels off.
