Our repair kit in this listing addresses the common failure of the BMW Dual Vanos Unit. Our components described herein with the assistance of our supportive instruction media will allow you to replace just the faulty components with improved components without the need to replace the whole unit.

If you drive a BMW 6 cylinder vehicle 1993-2006 your Vanos (variable valve timing unit) is most likely failing. The O-rings fitted to the pistons within the Vanos unit wear prematurely because they are constructed of poor quality Buna rubber which is not suited to the elevated temperatures of their location. The seals fail and lead to Vanos unit failure. BMW do not provide replacement seals, they do provide complete Vanos units at vast expense but these again are fitted with the same poor quality seals that will fail again.
By installing our improved design Viton seals and PTFE rings you will restore your Vanos unit to full health. Our seals are specifically designed for the environment in which they are fitted, well suited to the vast temperature range of the Vanos unit, constructed from improved materials designed to last. Our seals and piston rings have undergone extensive testing and will not deteriorate over time like the OEM part, designed to last the lifetime of your vehicle. Our product will restore your Vanos unit resolving the common symptoms which occur with failure noted above.

This repair kit includes:
4x replacement seals and wear rings to repair both pistons, 2x improved design and material Viton O-rings for piston caps, 1x RTV sealant for resealing valve cover and 9x replacement bolts and washers.
When carrying out this repair you will need to remove various components to access the Vanos unit. We recommend replacing all gaskets removed with new when reassembling, these are not included in this listing but are however available as a set in our eBay store.
