REMARK

In order to choose the right transformer or converter, you will need to know the WATTAGE of your equipment. Wattage refers to the amount of electricity used by a device, and this information is usually included on the label.

If the wattage is not listed, the voltage and amperage usually are. These can be multiplied to determine the wattage. In other words, Voltage x Amps = Wattage. For example, an appliance labelled with a voltage of 110 and amperage of 1.5 is 165 watts (110v x 1.5a = 165 Watts).

It is recommended that a transformer or converter be rated at least 50% higher than the wattage of the appliance with which you intend to use it. For example, a 500 Watt appliance should be used with a transformer of at least 750 Watts.

DO NOT try to draw more than what the transformer provides: you will be risking your health, the converter, and your electronic components!

This converter is NOT compatible with hair straightener. Hair straighteners heat up quickly by drawing an initial higher wattage (around 200 watts). This will then in turn overload both our 45 and 100 Watt converters, even though the straighteners may display only a 35 or 70 Watt rating.

If your device/appliance's power supply is multi-voltage eg. modern mobile phones etc, you will NOT need this voltage converter. The converter may not operate correctly with multi-voltage device/charger and you will only need a travel adaptor to power your device.

- Multi-voltage appliances like modern mobile phone chargers, cameras, laptops, etc.

- Use with AC (alternate current) devices only, do not use with DC (direct current) devices

The converter is design to work up to its maximum rated power load. Please check carefully to ensure applications used are within the rated power range. Any attempt of misuse to overload will trigger the overload protection and may cause damage to both unit and application used. Any unit that has been misused, altered or accidentally damaged will not be covered by warranty. Mercury nor its retailers will not be responsible for any damaged caused by misuse of the product.

These items must be returned to us unused with original packaging intact and in a saleable condition within 7 days of receipt. Goods must be returned carriage paid.
