Overview:
Inside the new cast aluminum housing you’ll find an advanced micro-controller that manages the timing and rpm of the ignition. The spark output of the new box has been turned up to 535 volts of primary voltage with spark energy reaching up to 135 millijoules! The multiple sparks of the 6AL-2 burn in the cylinder for 20° of crankshaft rotation to ensure complete combustion. There are two rev limiters; one for high end overrev protection and another you can activate off a clutch or transbrake to set a launch limit. This feature will help your car blast off the starting line! Adjustments are made via four rotary dials for 100 rpm increment control! This capacitive discharge ignition will easily connect to nearly any 12 volt negative ground distributor system, even Hall effect pickups. The ignition is supplied with wiring and vibration mounts for a complete installation. It’s even compatible with 4, 6 and 8-cylinder engines. This unit is tested to factory standards and ships complete.

Factory Reconditioned products consist of products that were originally sold new, or sent out as demo units, these products were then returned, sometimes without even being opened. Once we receive a product back, it is tested and then reconditioned to original factory specifications by Manufacturer-trained technicians. The testing process assures that the product meets the same stringent quality standards that are required for new products.

Since these products may show signs of a previous installation, minor wear or other cosmetic defect our policy is not to sell them as new.  Rather than scrapping them, we are making them directly available to the public.  Not only does this help us control the costs of our new products, it allows you to get a great deal on a like-new product!

  • We are required to charge sales tax in Arizona, Colorado, Texas, Michigan, California, North Carolina, and Washington. Tax will be figured at checkout.

Warranty & Return Policy

  • MSD Factory Refurbished products are warranted for a period of 90 days from date of sale for defects in material and workmanship. Any defective items will be repaired or replaced at MSD’s discretion. 
  • In the unlikely event you have a problem with your Factory Reconditioned product, please call MSD's tech line at (915) 855-7123, Should a tech service associate determine that it is necessary to return the item for repair or replacement, you will be given instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA). 
  • Buyer is responsible for return shipping; however, MSD will cover shipping the repaired or replaced item back to the buyer. 
  • Expedited freight may be available upon request and at buyer’s expense.
  • This Factory Reconditioned Warranty supersedes any new product warranty that may be included in your kit.

  • We ship all US orders via United Parcel Service (UPS Ground)
  • A signature is required on all UPS orders over $750
  • Tracking information will be sent via email after your package ships (you must supply a valid email address during checkout)
  • We ship within 1 business day upon receipt of payment
  • We do not ship to APO/FPO or US Post Office Box addresses
  • We ship internationally through United States Postal Service (USPS) Express Mail International; allow extra time for international shipments
  • We cannot ship as a "GIFT" or ship anything internationally with changes to the invoice
