This auction is for a WWI REPLICA FOUR (4) BLADE WOOD AIRPLANE AIRCRAFT 46" PROPELLER WITH BRASS TIPPED EDGES. THE PROPELLER MEASURES APPROXIMATELY 46" FROM TIP TO TIP. FITS IN A 36" SQUARE. BRAND NEW IN FACTORY SEALED BOX.
A big hit since this item was introduced in the fall of 2005, this antique replica four blade propeller is very similar to a pusher type prop dating back to the early 1900s. Handmade of mahogany by talented craftsmen, this prop has brass-tipped edges that were designed to prevent pitting on early grass fields. Both the wood and the edging are dinged and distressed to look like an expensive antique, and the pitch has been slightly changed from the original to allow it to hang better on the wall. Comes with mounting hardware. Imported.
