This is the GRAND-daddy of the Ovation Breadwinner! hahaa!
Gorgeous overall, an easy 9 out of 10. Play is effortless.
The variety of sounds are astounding and magical.
I would say this is easily on par with any Gibson or Fender 12 string and can come very close to sounding like either one. I would even say better in some ways because having these active pickups, you can adjust any sort of effects and amp easily around it's already incredible and standard sounds it has naturally.
Dials, switches and do dads all work perfect. Phase Notch switch is cool as all hell too.
Nice tone and volume dials... smooth no matter what.
What a sleeper of a guitar they made back then!
Nonetheless, I can't say enough good about this guitar.
She's gorgeous, feels great strapped or on the lap. Well balanced.. If you're looking and reading you probably know all about these "sleeper" guitars that Ovation used to make.... like a musical axe! Guitar Axe!
