The term Impressionism is derived from the title of his painting Impression, Sunrise.
ABOUT THE ARTIST Émile ROUSSEAU, French medallist, steel engraver, born in 1927. Won the Premier Grand Prix de Rome de gravure en médailles in 1957 (Naissance d’Eve).
