Scapolite and Epidote Sphere - Peru
What a pretty combination of colors! There is ruby red and white scapolite with a little greenish to yellow epidote.
This stone is a new find from Peru. We met the miner at the Tucson show and he showed us a large rock he brought with him from Peru and ... we bought it.
Dale, the SphereMaker, did a great job with this sphere. His workmanship is, as usually outstanding.The sphere is just beautiful and new and unusual.
This Scapolite sphere is an outstanding collector's item.
Its approximate weight is 10.2 oz (288.8 g), and it measures about 2.36" in diameter (60 mm).
