This auction is for a Selmer 1492 Resonite Oboe in excellent cosmetic and playing condition.  This instrument is the standard instrument to learn the Oboe on for its high quality and simplicity.  The keys are silver plated.  This particular instrument is in Great condition.  There are only light scratches on the instrument body from normal use.  The silver plating really shines, but has some minor wear on a few keys.   The case is an sturdy selmer case designed to hold up to lots of abuse and protect the instrument.  This instrument is my top reccomendation for anyone just starting out on oboe.  For the money, you won't find a better playing starter oboe on the market.  These instruments retail for nearly $2,000!  Take advantage of this deal while you still can.  In addition to the Oboe, you will receive a new Oboe reed,  swab, and cork grease: everything you need to get started and take good care of your new instrument for years to come.    See photos below of the instrument you will be receiving.
