Vintage film lenses offer your portraits, candid photography, social documentary, fine art, landscape and street photography a cinematic look, and are very affordable compared to their digital counterparts. Their unique image rendering characteristics and slight imperfections are what give them the warmth and charm that some say is missing from digital photography.
DESCRIPTION
1.- Lens is in good cosmetic and working condition, clean. Front glass is clean and clear, no haze or scratches, no mold or fungus inside, just some dust/specks but you won't see them in your photos (see samples bellow). Focus and aperture rings turn smoothly. The 6 aperture blades are snappy and oil free. It takes 55mm filters. Minimal wear, no cracks, dents or broken parts, just minor scratches/scuffs here and there. Made in Japan, S/N 140216.
2.- Rear cap included.
Fantastic vintage glass, all metal and glass, they don't make them like this anymore. Images come out sharp and contrasty, focus is silky smooth. Most current AF auto-focus lenses run into hundreds of dollars, imagine getting a 135mm prime lens at a fraction of that. The images bellow were taken with this lens and a DSLR camera in just a few minutes walk!
Lens has a Minolta MD mount and, with the right adapter (not included), it can fit most DSLR and Micro 4/3 cameras. There is no auto-focus but adjusting the focus and aperture rings in the front is not that difficult and gets easier and easier with practice.
The following pictures were taken with this lens attached
to a Canon DSLR camera using a "Minolta MD to Canon EF adapter" (not included). No tripod or flash were used, all pictures were taken handheld, no auto-focus of course.
