These TOP QUALITY, beautiful BRITISH Black Wensleydale locks have been completely hand prepared and hand dyed by ourselves from the sheep to the end product, using non-toxic acid dyes, eco friendly woolwash and lots of time and care.

EXTRA LONG are SHEARLING locks (sheared for the 1st time) and have an extra long staple length and average between 8" (20.5 cm) and 12" (30.5 cm).
STANDARD locks and the length is approx. 4 - 8 inches.
TINY locks length 2 - 4 inches                                           

 Our "Rare Breed" Wensleydale wool is Pure-Bred and has come from sheep that are registered with the Wensleydale sheep society. We are planning to extend our flock of sheep to include the "EVEN RARER" Black Wensleydale sheep as part of a breeding programme that we are introducing here that will assist in the continuity of their existence by opening up new bloodlines. Most of our wool profits will be going into this as well as the normal running costs i.e. Winter Feed, shelter, Bedding, Vet fees (very expensive), field maintenance etc. etc.
