The price of these classic AC/DC-era amps is absolutely sky-rocketing. It's hard to find a desirable 50w for under £1000 these days so this really is a chance to grab a bargain, an investment that will keep on appreciating.

This is a serious Classic Rock tone machine. The original combo cab is in gigged condition with plenty of cool mojo wear to the tolex around the bottom of the cab.

These combos are VERY heavy so I had a small box head custom-made to fit the amp chassis meaning it can be easily transported and used with various speaker cabinets....my back prefers a 1x12

The head cab design is loosely based on the small-box Marshall 18w style and is fitted with a Marshall plexi-glass logo to match the logo fitted to the 2x12 combo cabinet.

Desirable speakers

2104 combo cab is fitted with 2x desirable 1970s G12M greenbacks with 'black solder tabs'. 1x Thames Ditton pre-Rola and one slightly later but early Rola era (1974 I think) which has had an old-school (ugly but effective) repair to the paper cone. Both drivers sound superb with zero issues in use and combined with the 50w head make for a serious classic rock tone machine. In no way harsh or ice-picky like other MVs I've owned and IMO the Greenbacks are a massive upgrade to the usual late-70s Celestion Blackbacks which I could never bond with.

Specifications

A new handle and plexi logos have been added along with a checkerboard grille. The original large white plastic Marshall logo and amp handle are included and the original black grille cloth is still in place and in good condition underneath the checkerboard cloth should you wish to fully convert back to original 2104 style and spec. A previous owner has scratched a band name into the faceplate at some point but an identical repro plate can be UK made in polished aluminium or plexiglass for around £30 if that is something that genuinely bothers you. I can pass on the manufacturer contact details with the purchase if required.

Serviced, re-valved, biased and PAT pass certified in August and hasn't been used since. It is 100% gig-ready, reliable and works exactly as it should. I am a long-term fan of this MasterVolume circuit and this one is by far the most superior of the five Master Volumes I've owned over the years. This a lot of amp for the money and extremely versatile with the additional head cab option too.
