The jar has no pottery mark so I'm guessing at "Oriental" The fact that the lyrebird is native to Australia further clouds the issue. The Jar was certainly made in this century.

The repeat six panels of the lyrebird on a stumpy tree that bears blue, pink and yellow flowers is compelling. The bird itself is more colourful than its natural cousin with an interesting striped pattern.

Each panel is well-framed with red/green lattice-work with extensive gold-coloured gilding.

Condition is very good with no chips, cracks or fading.
