BALLANTYNE FIGURAL BRONZE BLACK BEARD 1992 ANNUAL BELL NO. 60/250
*Note: Ballantyne Bells were designed, Sculptured and handmade by the "Lost Wax" method, and cast in highest quality Silicon Bronze. Each bell is serially numbered, signed and registered. The maker is ABA member Gerry Ballantyne. He began making "Annual" bells in 1972 and made his last in 1996. The bells were all signed and numbered and many buyers were enrolled to receive the same number each year so they could collect a complete set of annual bells that were all the same number.
In addition to the "Annual Ballantyne Bell", Ballantyne produced a second bell which was referred to as a "Special Edition Bell".
I should also point out that if you have a Special Edition Ballantyne Bell that is numbered, for example, #72/400 it DOES mean that you have the 72nd one of that bell, but it does NOT necessarily mean that 400 were made. That number was the maximum that Ballantyne promised to produce.... but if he didn't get that many orders, he didn't produce that many bells.
