The Staniol is alloy of tin and lead - too rare material of the plates - usually aluminum.
At capacitor's assembling, Paper and Staniol are saturated by dehydrated paraffin at pressure 50 atmospheres (~490 MPa)
The advantages are:
greater stability, since there are no capacitive air-gaps that can change dimension; best capacitor for Hi-End equipments; airtight enclosure removes the risk of oxidation or corrosion of plates or connections.
