Guild D-40 Richie Havens Signature Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar in very good condition with little to no playwear on the front and just a few light marks on the back. The protective plastic is still on the tortoise pickguard. The finish over the top seam has checked. This looks to be only superficial. The top is solid and this does not affect the structural integrity or tone of the instrument. Nice nitro finish on the solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides. The guitar has a nice action and the mahogany neck with a rosewood fretboard has a comfortable, easy to play feel. The frets are in excellent condition. A D40 that's ready for supersonic strumming, Richie Havens-style! The Guild D-40 is available in a Richie Havens signature version. This tribute to Havens features a single pickguard setup and his signature on the truss rod cover, in addition to standard D-40 features: solid spruce top, hand shaved bracing, solid mahogany back and sides, a rosewood bridge and fretboard, Grover chrome plated die-cast tuners and a nitro-cellulose lacquer finish. The sound of "Freedom" rings from this guitar!
The instrument produces a wonderful rounded tone that is even, clear and projects well. Overall this is a quality built instrument using the best tonewoods and hand shaved bracing that looks, plays and sounds wondereful.

Returns
