These straps were designed and made by myself for a Boutique in Surrey which sadly closed so i decided to sell the stock on ebay! I have been designing and creating bespoke/custom special occasion gowns and accessories for over 20 years and my label is called 'Nikki J' and is based in Notting Hill.
You have an option of three colours as pictured, five different widths (top shoulder), plus different lengths, if the lengths offered don't suit you, then you have the option to choose CUSTOM made and i will make them especially for you.
(THE STRAPS IN THE MAIN PICTURE ARE THE 19 INCH x 3 INCH OPTION. FOR ALL OTHER OPTIONS IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU TO USE A LITTLE IMAGINATION REGARDING WHAT THEY WILL LOOK LIKE IN YOUR CHOSEN LENGTH AND WIDTH I'M AFRAID AS I DO NOT HAVE THE DOZENS OF PHOTOS REQUIRED TO SHOW EACH ONE. BUT DO PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS!)
These detachable straps are very popular (do check the positive feedback's i've had) with ladies who desire a little shoulder cover for their occasion, and then they can then be easily removed later on which gives their gown another fresh look! MAYBE YOU HAVE A FEW DRESSES THAT ONE PAIR CAN BE WORN WITH! They can also be stitched in to a dress permanently too of course if a strapless look is not wanted. They are made of a soft man made tulle fabric - NOT pure silk, satin etc etc as listed above, i only ticked most of those boxes as the straps can look stunning with dresses made of most types of fabric as they are very simple, and the little loops on each end are elasticated to achieve a snug fit. Five clear buttons are included (including one spare) which can easily be stitched inside the top of your dress discreetly for the elastic loops to be fastened on to. As well as being great worn on top of the shoulder the straps can also look beautiful draped off the shoulder too! THEY ARE GREAT WITH EVENING, COCKTAIL, WEDDING AND BRIDESMAIDS DRESSES! They can be easily hand washed in slightly warm soapy water after your event and even put back on ebay....along with a picture of you looking beautiful wearing them!!! They press well using a synthetic fabric temperature setting and a little steam, but NOT TOO HOT or you will singe them and get holes.
No designer label or tags are included in the sale.
As well as the colour you can select the length and width of straps you require. NB: the maximum length i make on the 'custom made' straps is about 33 inches. You must please send me a message saying the length you require straight after buying to avoid any delay in shipping.
Some ladies buy long one's so that they can cross them over at the back to add a nice detail. Another idea may be to twist them over the shoulder! To decide what length you need is easy - just try on your dress and measure from the front to the back at the points along the top of your dress where you want the straps to attach, but remember to add a little extra extra as you'll more than likely want the ends of the straps hidden inside your dress!
