This listing is for ONE large Meissen porcelain charger or shallow bowl, hand painted with a beautiful display of fruits. This charger and a similarly shaped one shown in the last photo (as of the time of this writing, for sale in another listing) are from a Main Line Philadelphia French Chateau style mansion. They were on display on a low table amidst a spectacular collection on fine Continental furnishings. They are very lovely displayed together, but since they are of different motifs, I have listed them for sale separately. Combined shipping available on request. SIZE: Approximately 11 1/2" in diameter with a deep well.

MARKS: Meissen blue crossed swords on reverse as shown in photos. Impressed marks "152" which I believe to be the form number over "62".

CONDITION: The double slashes on the Meissen swords would indicated that this was consider by Meissen as imperfect. The only thing I see that would seem "imperfect" as made are a few miniscule dots in the white ground. Otherwise, just expect a few very minor signs of wear from use -a few tiny scratches on fruit (most of what you see in the photos is raised enamel, not scratches) and some wear to the gold detailing, mostly at the relief high points. The photos don't do it justice. Presents beautifully! Ignore the slight distortion in the first photo - it IS round. MORE PHOTOS BELOW
