Windscreen Wiper Refill for Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blades

Windscreen Wiper Refill for Bosch Aerotwin Wiper Blades

Length:  65cm ( 25.5'' ) - cut to size

Width:  6mm

Quantity:  Sold in pairs

Compatibility:  Should fit any Bosch Aerotwin blades up to 650mm ( 25.5 inches ).  Check your blades as described in the Fitting Instructions below, to confirm suitability.

Please note that this item is the rubber refill only - not the complete wiper blade.
Please also note that normal wiper refills ( such as those sold in Halfords ) are not suitable for Bosch Aerotwin blades because the top rubber lip is not wide enough to hold the rubber in place.  The refills being sold here have a wide top lip so they will work in Aerotwins.

Fitting Instructions

These fitting instructions apply to the particular type of blade that I have on my car and there are slight variations in design.  If these instructions don't work for your blades then it's worth googling "Bosch Aerotwin Refill" for alternative fitting instructions.  I've noticed that there are quite a few guides / videos available online.

Step 1

Pull the end caps from your wiper blades.  The first time that you do this quite a lot of force will be required.

Step 2

On one end of the wiper blade, you will see there is a metal tab which locks the rubber in place.
This tab should be bent up slightly using a screwdriver so that the rubber can be removed.

Step 3

Slide out the old rubber.

Step 4

You should now see that your wiper blade consists of two parallel metal blades which hold the rubber in place.  If you have two parallel metal blades like this then these refills will be suitable for your wipers.

Step 5

Gently push the new rubber refill in between the blades as shown above.
Try to push the rubber in rather than pulling it so as to avoid tearing the new rubber.

Step 6

Once the rubber is fully inserted, trim to match the length of the metal blades.

Step 7

Using pliers, push the metal tab back down so that it locks the new rubber in place.
Take care not to damage the rubber during this process.

Step 7

Push the end caps back onto the wiper blade until they just click into place.
