This is a gentleman's Rolex Tudor dating from circa 1951 in totally original condition.

My prior Tudors have always been well received, all have had a pleasing number of bids and many enquiries.  Slowly, vintage watch buyers are realising just how undervalued Rolex Tudors have been, and prices are beginning to rise steeply and without doubt will continue to do so; they are a superb investment.  To buy a comparable watch of this quality from say Jaeger LeCoultre, would still cost at least an extra 50%, Tudors certainly still offer good value.

The chromed case  measures 31 mm without the lugs and winding crown, and is in reasonable condition for its age.  The inner of the case back shows the case maker to have been Dennisons whom made many cases for Rolex in this era, its inner carries a reference of 12858 and the model reference of 4335.

The all-original dial is in average condition for its age and is finished with luminous Arabic hours to match the original hands.  The 'Tudor' wording is still clearly visible in black script with the rose logo above.  Lastly, there is a subsidiary seconds dial at the base.

The high-grade 15-rubied movement is signed 'Tudor' and it runs well keeping good time having last been serviced in 2014.

The watch comes on a part worn pigskin strap with steel coloured buckle to match the case.

Thanks for looking.
