This authentic Marine Corps NCO Saber has a slightly curved stainless steel etched blade. The blade has "UNITED STATES MARINES" etched in capital letters, along with fancy vine & scroll work and military motifs.The ornamented brass guard & pommel cap are gilted. The black leather type grip is wire wrapped and the scabbard is black leather with brass throat and drag. The throat piece has a stud for the frog. Blade length is 34".
This sword has the markings of Legendary Arms on the ricasso. It was made by Windlass Steelcrafts of India & is current USMC approved regulation (high quality) & is beautiful! Brand New!! (makers marks are easily buffed off with a dremel if one desires)

These Marine Corps swords are made by Windlass Steelcrafts and fully approved by the US Government’s Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Troop Support issues many of the large-scale government contracts for all branches of services. During this process, DLA Troop Support self-inspects the items to make sure these items meet the published specs. Purchases through DLA Troop Support for the Marine swords are used at the unit level. The focus is ensuring serviceability to achieve the mission. The DLA has a completely different mission than MarCorSysCom. Neither organization is wrong.
