Peavey DJS Sub Two-Way crossover Network and Input Jackplate... Nice!
This is a Brand new Peavey DJS Sub Two-Way crossover Network and Input jackplate. This is a large crossover, with heavy inductors with huge steel laminates. The laminations put an end to hysteresis loss and eddy currents, which, in turn, end hum or at least push noise to an unmeasurable level.
As you can see from the pictures, Peavey spares no large expense to use the finest grade capacitors (metallized PETE polymer film at 5% tolerance and laminated, high-permeability sheet steel to the inductor cores. And as you can see, there's more crossover component action underneath the CCA attached to the jackplate.
We acquired our crossover networks from a local acoustic R&D company engaged in testing home and pro-audio that recently liquidated some assets. We were fortunate enough to purchase their more discriminating, esoteric audio components--including this crossover network.
