This is a scarce sterling MANHATTAN PROJECT A BOMB workers pin.
These pins were presented to workers who assisted with the MANHATTAN PROJECT between about 1942 and 1946.
The Sterling pins were awarded to workers with over 1 year of service on the project.
It is a pinback pin with locking "C" type clasp.
The pin is about 3/4" wide and 3/4" tall.
The pin is marked on the back "Whitehead - Hoag" and "STERLING".
The pin is in excellent condition, showing very minimal wear and rub, and minor tarnish. See pictures.
