This premium, solid Indian Rosewood lid is hand-tooled and then polished to give it a beautiful natural luster.  Each side is .4"(1cm) thick, which is almost twice as thick as my earlier lids (one of the reasons for the price increase).

 (As you probably know, the antique Chinese wooden lids that are similar are hard to find and very expensive.)

 These lids came about as a result of my inability to find any affordable lids of this type for my collection of Antique Chinese and Japanese porcelain ginger jars.  After much trial and error… and 2 years of looking for the best manufacturer,  I am happy to be able to offer such high quality lids at a reasonable price. 

Since each lid is hand-tooled and therefore unique, there will be variations in the wood grain.

 Please take careful measurements to determine the size you need. However, the interior diameter of your jar does not need to be exactly the same as the lid as the fit does not need to be snug. The interior diameter of your lid can be up to 1/2" smaller than the interior diameter of the lid.
