Stunning and unusual original 1940-50's Kay Collier Dress

Combo of black satin and rayon? material
unusual detail: black satin collar wide, neck' cuffs, front of dress placket. inset in front pleats and pockets that go around to the back
unusual collar design in back - 3rd picture - material is slightly sheer and it shows the back of the necklace - no stains or discolorations -see 4th pic)
bottom is swing/flair and falls into gentle pleats
rhinestone and gold tone closure at neck (there are beads hanging down - it is from a necklace on mannequin - not included)
has thin thread belt loops on each side - no belt (waist is a fitted band so a belt is not needed)
excellent condition
Kay Collier was one of these great junior dress houses located in the city that was noted for its junior wear industry. In the mid 1930s, St. Louis, Missouri became the center of manufacturing of a new designation of dress – the Junior. Kay Collier dates from at least 1942, and was active into the 1950s.
