This vintage clavinet is in excellent shape!

I originally purchased this clavinet from Main Drag Music. They are a legitimate retailer of used vintage instruments, located in Brooklyn NY.  The clavinet was serviced prior to me purchasing it approximately 5 months ago. All of the tone controls were tested and are in good working order.

The power supply was adjusted to fit a 9 volt connector from the front. There is also a 9v output in the back panel that can be used if preferred.

The clavinet sounds really good as is, but it is possible that restringing it could lead to an even better, optimal sound. 

As far as the physical condition goes, this clavinet is in good shape. It shows some signs of wear, including a few brown discoloring marks on the surface and tolex. There are some small nicks and scratches here and there, all as expected with a used instrument. The tolex is in pretty strong shape, with no noticeable rips or tears. This clavinet is missing the original lid. As you can see in the photos, two of the lid latches are missing except for the middle latch. Personally, I did not mind having no lid- this keyboard can still be transported to gigs without the lid as long as you have some sort of reliable carrying bag. A standard 88 key keyboard case will be able to hold this clavinet.

This clavinet weighs approximately 55 pounds and measures approximately 48 inches long, 15 inches wide, and 5 inches tall.

I would prefer to do local pickup if possible, so if you live within 1-4 hours of New York City I would be willing to arrange a pickup. If you are too far for local pickup that is no problem as I am able to ship this clavinet nationwide.

In the few months I owned this clavinet, it was well protected in my home studio. I am sad to have to let it go, but I am looking to gather up some funds for another endeavor. I do hope it finds the hands of a great owner!
