The heavy paper is tested and deemed best for precision and other factors. After glueing, laminating, folding and assembly, it bears up strongly. Suggestions for other scales would be welcome.

Will require scissors, water based gray and red color marking pens (for coloring edges and any exposed paper), cutting board, white glue, cardboard (or foamcore) for sub-support on some parts, etc (Not included). But all color cover and graphics are included on the parts sheets.
This exhaustively detailed model is recommended for advanced builders, but if the Apollo LUT can be handled, then 39A shouldn't be a problem. Replacement parts sheets will be sent at little or no cost. The build time would be akin to 3 Apollo LUT models, but this can be drastically reduced (by about 75%) by eliminating the myriad of walkways and add-on structures and still yield a worthy launch environment for your Space Shuttle. The add-ons can then be intalled at the builder's discretion, but even if exluded, it would be akin to Revell's 4910 and 4911 in detail, considering that Revell's reflected a very early 39A complex before its many revisions. Revell's also is off scale small and will not work with this 39A kit unless one or both are modified. A minimized build would include FSS (LUT) girders and decks, RSS Hinge Tower, RSS mainframe girders and its Payload Processing Houses.
