The basis for this model, which is from my own collection, is an original Dinky 25 series wagon and trailer from 1946, and is NOT a modern reproduction casting. This has been carefully re-modelled as a early wartime period Ford BB articulated lorry. The castings were taken back to bare metal, and brass headlamps and mirrors, windscreen and door glass, fuel tank and tool box, new wheels, axles and tyres were fitted, together with a hand finished Army driver in the cab to complete this unique Dinky model. The model was primed and then airbrushed with two coats of cellulose Army Green paint, and finally authentic decals of the RASC and the 2nd Infantry Division were applied. The Dinky Bedford QL truck pictured is not included in the sale, and is only shown for scale comparison only.

This superb model set would fit perfectly with all Dinky 600 Military series 1/60^th scale models, and would look fabulous displayed in any Dinky collection, and is surely a must have for Dinky military collectors.
