            Ursache von Knieschmerzen ist oftmals ein Knorpelschaden aufgrund von Achsenfehlstellungen. Dieser tritt insbesondere unter Belastung, also z. B. im Stehen und bei Bewegung auf. Mit der M.4s OA Entlastungsorthese von
            medi wird das Bein in der richtigen Achse gehalten und der Druck auf die schmerzhaften Bereiche wird verringert. Dies führt zu einer spürbaren Schmerzlinderung und sorgt für mehr Mobilität und Aktivität im Alltag.

            • Wirkungsweise

              Die Orthese soll Ihnen helfen, das Knie zu entlasten. Sowohl in der postoperativen Therapie, als auch in der konservativen (nicht-operativen) Behandlung findet die Orthese ihren Einsatz. Sie schützt das Bein vor dem seitlichen Ausbrechen. So werden die schmerzhaften Bereiche des Kniegelenkes entlastet und die Orthese leistet ihren Teil zu einer spürbaren Schmerzlinderung. In manchen Fällen stellt sich die Besserung erst nach und nach ein.

            • Indikationen

              • Konservativ: Schwere mediale oder laterale Gonarthrose (mind. Grad III) in Verbindung mit komplexer Bandinstabilität, Unikompartimentelle Entlastung vor HTO (Brace-Test), Zur Entlastung bei schmerzhaften Stressfrakturen (z.B. Tibiakopf), Starke Überlastung des medialen oder lateralen Kompartiments, Dauerhafte Entlastung, wo eine OP kontrainduziert ist
              • Postoperativ: Knorpelchirurgie, Knorpelplastik, Meniskusrefixation, Umstellungsosteotomie mit notwendiger postoperativer Entlastung des medialen oder lateralen Kompartiments

    M.4s OA is a varus / valgus brace. The product is exclusively to be used for the orthotic fitting of the knee and only on intact skin.

How does it work?/Mode of action

This orthosis is intended to help you to reduce stress on your knee. The orthosis is used in both postoperative therapy and in conservative (non-operative treatment). It protects the leg from swerving outwards. Stress is reduced on the painful areas of the knee joint and the orthesis brings a perceptible reduction in pain. Some patients only improve gradually.
