2008 Ford Mustang GT – Premium – Supercharged –
“SHELBY KILLER”
Don't spend $30-$60K for a GT500...... You may end up with a GT500, but so will many other people. Save thousands and buy this Shelby Killer, have a one of a kind, low mileage, performance car that will perform equal to or better than a GT500 for thousands less.
This Mustang
GT acquired in April 2015 from the original
owner, who was an elderly, meticulous, retired Army Colonel. This Mustang GT is a Premium model with DUAL
POWER SEATS, leather upholstery, Mach 500 sound system, etc… At the time of purchase I was informed that
this Mustang has NEVER been driven
in the rain or any inclement weather.
Upon my acquisition of the car, I too have maintained this unique trait
and to this day, this Mustang GT has yet to be driven in the rain or exposed to
any inclement weather. This Mustang is a
true “Garage Queen” with only 11,150 miles on the odometer.
The exterior
of this mustang has exceptional OEM paint (Alloy Gray code G5) and looks as
close to showroom condition as possible (as would be expected, there are a
couple of VERY MINOR road chips at the front bumper area which are almost
impossible to locate with the naked eye).
This Mustang has never been in an accident and does not have any dings
or dents.
The interior
of this Mustang shows absolutely NO WEAR.
This Mustang is in pristine condition!
You likely
will not find a better condition 2008 Mustang GT anywhere in the country,
unless it was purchased new and immediately placed into storage.
I have had
approximately 20 plus Mustangs of all different generations during the past 40
years. When I choose to upgrade
performance I am meticulous, detail oriented and always maintain any eye for a
subtle yet aggressive look, plus performance and exceptional handling. To that end, this Mustang has been carefully
upgraded with the following:
ENGINE:
I acquired this Mustang with approximately 9000 miles on the
odometer. At 10,110 miles I installed a
complete Paxton Supercharger system provided by BRENSPEED (Indiana & Texas
performance Mustang tuners and parts).
This is a low stress, fully matched system, that provides no more than
8-10 PSI of boost and exerts very little stress on the OEM 4.6L engine. This supercharger system is a non-intercooled
type. As a part of the supercharger
system, Brenspeed includes upgraded Ford Racing 39lb injectors, Kenne Bell
Boost-A-Pump, and an SCT tuning device with a custom tune matched to this
specific Mustang. General power estimates
given for this combination are approximately 540HP at the flywheel. This Mustang runs and drives flawlessly, as
if it was still completely stock.
However, when requested, the power curve is very strong and smooth. [By looking at the photos of the engine bay,
you will see exceptional attention to mild customization and attention to
detail]
EXHAUST:
To match the configuration of this supercharger system the best, the OEM
exhaust system was maintained. At the
rear, Ford Racing GT500 mufflers were added, giving the exhaust a more powerful
note, all the while maintaining a comfortable driving experience with no
“drone”.
SUSPENSION:
This Mustang handles amazingly!
An acquaintance of mine who owns a GT500 has driven this Mustang GT and
was embarrassed to say that it out handled his car by an extreme degree. This Mustang has STEEDA sport springs and
STEEDA struts & shocks. The car sits
slightly lower, as a result, and although the handling is superb the ride
remains very comfortable. Also part of
the suspension are GRANATELLI front & rear sway bars, WHITELINE rear
control arms, and upgraded bushings at all locations. The gem of the suspension set-up at the rear
is a FAYS2 Watts Link, which manages the rear suspension and body roll (This
FAYS2 watts link is also used by Ford on many Shelby GT500 models). As a complete package, this suspension set-up
allows the car to handle like a “slot car”, limited body roll and strong
ability to track through corners while maintaining a good ride.
BRAKES: Upgraded to Ford Racing M-2300-S 14”
front Brembo brakes and GOODRIDGE performance brake lines. The rear brakes were treated to a custom
system that upgrades the rear rotors to 14” GT500 rotors while retaining the
OEM rear calipers (Faux Brembo caliper covers were added to the rear in order
to match the actual Brembo front calipers).
This Mustang brakes strong and true!
EXTERIOR:
Wonderful OEM paint. CDC front
lower spoiler, GT500 rear spoiler, billet rear GTemblem, front fog light delete
kit by Ford Racing.
INTERIOR:
Any photos seen here do not do justice to the exceptional OEM
interior. To maintain the pristine OEM
look but enhance the performance aspect only a couple of minor upgrades were
added with no alteration to originality.
A Ford Racing “push button start” button was added to the dash (fully
functional). Also necessary was the
ability of the driver to monitor important systems related to the addition of
the supercharger. To accomplish this, a
PLX touch screen wide band monitor gauge was added to the center-most OEM dash
vent (see photos). This gauge provides
real time feedback of air fuel ratio, boost & voltage.
WHEELS & TIRES:
To finish off the look and stance of this Mustang, a set of 2010 GT500
OEM Ford Racing wheels were added. This
is a set of staggered 18x9” wheels in front and 18x9.5” wheels on the
rear. The wheels are in pristine
condition. Tires for this combo were
matched, again, to that of a GT500, using proper OEM sized GOODYEAR F-1
performance tires. The tires are like
new.
Overall,
this Mustang GT is a labor of love and, as explained, only assembled using
exceptional detail and quality parts, OEM and otherwise. The car has only 11,150 original miles and
looks as if it has even fewer miles than that.
This Mustang is a joy to drive, extremely reliable and is assembled to
provide trouble free performance. Since
the collective total value invested in performance upgrades is conservatively between
$8-10,000 it is clear to see you could not buy and build this same Mustang
again for the eventual selling price.
The
supercharger system is high quality, and technologically sound. One note regarding the Paxton supercharger
system is that the package assembled by Brenspeed in this instance, is not
C.A.R.B. (California Air Resources Board) certified, technically not giving it
aftermarket certification in California only in spite of the fact that
this car meets emissions standards at the tail pipe. Thus, if you were a true California resident
interested in this Mustang you would likely need to temporarily return the car
to OEM standards for certification, then re-install the supercharger system (I
do have ALL OEM parts if needed or requested).
Note that I am informed by BRENSPEED that this system as installed will
meet ALL
OTHER STATES requirements for registration and emissions. (although
many states still have no emission mandates)
Should you
be interested in this Mustang GT, and are planning on bidding or buying, I
would ask that you message me so that we may initiate personal contact. I am a 100% Ebay seller and I intend on
maintaining this status, so I feel important to have a detailed discussion
about the car so I may answer any and all question or address any
clarifications. You will be able to buy
with confidence if you wish to purchase this Mustang. This car has a clear title and is ready to
sell.
[As with all
vehicle purchases on Ebay, the car can be purchased and, once paid for, can be
shipped anywhere in the country.
Although shipping would be the buyer responsibility, I guarantee that I
will avail myself to facilitate and coordinate with the chosen shipper.]
