Coffee Arabica Kona coffee

On a nice sunny morning on the slopes of Hualalai in Hawaii you could find growing one of the most expensive coffees in the world. Kona is the market name of coffee arabica that is specifically cultivated here. The mild nights and afternoon clouds, that swell up with rain and drip down onto these plants, growing in rich volcanic soil, with very little wind, make this the most perfect place in the world for this plant.  Mature plants bloom star-white flowers, known as “Kona Snow” followed by the much desired berries that begin to ripen by August through January.

This widely adaptable tree can be used for a wide range of uses including, standard specimen as well as the greenhouse.  It makes the perfect patio plant but, will need protection from frost.  Keep tree well watered until established.
