INTRODUCTION:

This transfer foil does not need to be printed; the function of this sheet is to decorate printing sheets previously printed using LASER printers.

The principle of operation is very simple, the metallized film will be transferred based on the amount of black present in the press.

Thus, for example a decoration completely black (100%) will become, after the application of the metallic foil completely covered by the film metallic effect.

In a product with various shades of gray, the result will be a not complete transfer, with consequently areas in which the metallic effect will be higher than others will.

On unprinted areas, the white areas, there will be no transfer.

HOW TO USE:

Print the desired decoration on office paper or cardboard, making sure to print only in black and white mode (it is possible to select this option in the graphic software, and/or in the printer settings).

TRANSFER FOIL:

Take the printed sheet and secure it to the metalized foil, using a bit of adhesive tape at the top and bottom.

Fix the sheets in order to have the printed sheet as the lower one, with the decorated side upwards.

Above the printed sheet place the metallic foil, placing it with the metallized side upwards.

Above the two sheets position a sheet of siliconized paper (or common baking paper).

TRANSFER BY LAMINATOR:

Pass the "sandwich" of sheets in the laminator (temperature between 120 ° and 150 ° C, average speed).

It is possible to perform rolling twice consecutively.

Remove the silicon paper and, when the sheets will be completely cold, remove the transfer foil.

TRANSFER WITH IRON:

Place the "sandwich" of sheets on a hard surface, set the iron at about 150 ° C (wool program), without steam.

Using gentle pressure with your iron, press down evenly on all parts decorated; after a few passages, remove the silicone sheet, and check if it is possible to see the outline of the decoration on the foil, continue until the outline will not be more or less visible (always with the silicone sheet).

Wait until the sheet is completely cold and then proceed to the removal of the transfer foil.

NOTE: this operation, compared with the laminator transfer, may require a minimum amount of manual ability and more attempts.
