This is a great lens for wildlife and sports that will bring the action close without being giant or breaking the bank. The fixed maximum aperture of f5.6 is relatively fast for 400mm (an F4 will be much more expensive and much bigger-save a mint and save your back by giving up one stop).

Note that this lens requires a body with a built in autofocus motor for autofocus operation.

The lens has clean scratch-free glass and perfect operation. It comes with the dedicated shade, lens caps and an integral tripod collar.
