Presenting a fabulous vintage larger sized jug in the highly
appealing Kosmos pattern, designed by Gunvor Olin Gronquist,
and produced by the quality Scandinavian maker, Arabia Finland,
leaders in mid 20th century Scandinavian pottery.

This impressive piece has a wonderfully sleek, clean-lined
modernist form finished in appealing earthy tones.

Vertical stripes of deep black and rust brown surround the outer body
of the jug, appearing atop a mottled olive green underglaze. The stripes
of colour have an appealing slight unevenness, which combined with their
soft feathered edges create a fabulous hand drawn and hand crafted feel.

This fabulous piece is not only visually appealing, it is beautifully
designed for functionality. A large handle and practical pouring lip
ensure this perfectly balanced piece is a true delight to hold and use.

Gunvor Agnes Margareta Olin-Gronqvist was a renowned designer
who worked at Arabia from 1951 to 1993. Arabia is not only Finland's oldest
ceramics factory but it is also one of the most respected and collected.

This piece is presented in excellent vintage condition, with
no chips, cracks or repairs. There are some exceptionally small,
light and fine surface scratches noticeable only on extremely close
inspection in bright raking light but mentioned for complete accuracy.
This piece has been very well cared for and present spectacularly.

This piece stands approx 130mms tall, the body measures 115mms
in diameter excluding the pouring lip and handle, and measures
180mms in width from the tip of the lip to the end of the handle.

This piece is beautifully marked to the base with
a "Kosmos Arabia Made in Finland GOG" stamp.

This superb piece would make a fabulous addition to any
Arabia Finland or mid 20th century Scandinavian design collection!

this jug would perfectly suit most decors!
